Since our inception, Dorgan, Whitney has been totally focused on building a the highest quality bespoke modern art consultancy.
Works we have handled as of 2021 were at an average price of $350,000 but range from low five figures well into seven figures. Our forte is assisting in the purchase and sale of blue chip artists work on a piece by piece basis. However, if we are handling your entire collection we will of course handle all works in the collection no matter the current market value.
Whether your collection has just one work of art and you need assistance in growing, or you are starting to refine or even wind down your collection - our firm can take away much of the burden involved in buying, selling or managing the collection.

Coming from a storied family with deep ties to the art world, Barbara has been an art consultant since the late 1980's and helped form some of the great Chicago private art collections. She started out on the CBOT floor and also attended School of the Art Institute.
Inaugurating his collection in 6th grade with a Chagall purchase, he started attending art openings in the late 1970's burgeoning River North art scene. Starting out on the CBOT floor and going on to hold seats on several boards at the MCA in Chicago, Hands On! Childrens' Art Museum and Division 13 Productions. Paul has Guest lectured at the SAIC, a good deal of his work outside of art as been in Institutional Futures Trading and Hedge Funds.

Earning his Bachelors Degree in photography at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and having developed one of the most awarded Photography Studios around, he has worked Chicago's leading families for over a decade. Colin knows both blue chip art and how best to capture an image. He has worked with Dorgan Whitney for over 15 years documenting via photos.
